From the Deputy Grand Chief

Wachay & Merry Christmas with lots of love!

Greeting to all our relations across this Turtle Island we call our homelands.

Hope brings us together with our families and it is that time of year we come together to celebrate Christmas. Tis the season for sharing and I really do look forward to both!

Our children bring us hope to see our life to be a better place for them to live by. The gifts they receive in the morning. We can see the excitement in their eyes. We need to provide that scaredness of their excitement. LOVE brings us joy and togetherness. Let us show our LOVE adult, children, grandbabies and Jabans. This is what Christmas is about. Giving and receiving.

As we celebrate let us remember our loved ones who have passed on and those that are still with us.

We have learned a lot during pandemic. It taught us the sacredness of our beliefs and made us strong. Let us keep safe in the New Year. Please take care of each other spread kindness and love to all our relations

In kindness and love, Meegwetch
