RESOLUTION NO. 2002-09-38
LAND AND RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT POLICIES
WHEREAS the possibility of land and resource development in Mushkegowuk Territory continues to be a vital issue involving many possible advantages and disadvantages, and;
WHEREAS Mushkegowuk Council's approaches to development require continuing study;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Assembly receive the staff report "A Discussion Paper on Developing A Policy Framework for Lands, Resources And The Environment For The Mushkegowuk First Nation Traditional Territories, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk policy staff and advisers strike a team of advisors to develop a policy framework for Mushkegowuk approaches to proposed resource development in Mushkegowuk territory, to be presented to the next assembly for review.
