Family Services (Special Needs Services – Mamou Pimo TayTaa)
MaMou PimoTayTaa supports families of children and youth from birth to 18, unless still attending school. The program uses a family-centered approach which recognizes that the family is constant in the child’s/youth’s life and the expert in their abilities and needs. Programs consist of coordinated service planning, Jordan’s Principle, and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder services. We also work in close partnership with the Cochrane Temiskaming Children’s Treatment Center to provide rehabilitation services.
Coordinated Service Planning
Assists with:
- Accessing services across sectors
- Bringing service providers together
- Developing one service plan for each child/youth that illustrates all of the services the child/youth will be receiving
FASD
- This program works towards offering lifelong learning opportunities, based on cultural values. We build community capacity, create training opportunities, and build strong relationships with partners. We will provide advocacy and lasting support systems for individuals and families living with FASD.
