Kashechewan First Nation is calling for the resignation of Indigenous Services Minister Mandy Gull-Masty in the wake of critical infrastructure failures that forced an evacuation of the community two months ago.
Frustration with the minister stems from an ongoing problem that remains unresolved, further enflamed by the fact the minister hasn’t visited the community, hasn’t offered tangible solutions, and withdrew from attending a meeting with chief and council that was scheduled last week.
