RESOLUTION NO. 1986-6
SUBJErr: "PEDERAL RESOURCE LEVEL
WHEREAS the Muskegog Cree Council r.,eneral Assembly are concerned with the proposed down-sizinq fo the Moose Factory Zone of Health & Welfare and the James Bay District Office;
WHEREAS the delegates of this assembly have given finn direction to the Chiefs of the Muskeo<XJ Cree Council to ensure the current resources and levels of res)X)nsibility anr. services are maintained or improved in the M(X)se Factory Zone and the James Bay District Office;
WHEREAS the delegates to this assembly believe that control of services be the responsibility
of Muskegoq Cree Council or a l:x::xJy under its jurisdiction and direction namely the James Bay Regional Health Board;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Muskeqog
Cree Council C,eneral Assembly directs the
Minister of Indian & Northern Affairs and the Minister of National Health & Welfare to improve and maintain the resource levels and levels of resp::>nsibility until such time the transfer of services is implemented.
