RESOLUTION NO. 1987-63
SUBJECT: RELATIONSHIP WITH NISHNAWBE-ASKI NATION
WHEREAS the Omushkegowuk are represented in various matters by both the Mushkegowuk Council and Nishnawbe-Aski Nation, and;
WHEREAS the overlapping representation results in occasional repetition or conflict, and;
WHEREAS it is important that the relationship between the work of the Mushkegowuk Council and Nishnawbe-Aski Nation be clarified in a constructive way.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Board of Directors initiate an investigation into the association between Nishnawbe-Aski Nation and the Mushkegowuk Council, and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Board of Directors report to the 1988 Assembly with its recommendations.
