RESOLUTION NO. 1990-138
SUBJECT: ELDERS AND YOUTH COUNCIL
WHEREAS the Youth and Elders of our communities are a valued resource;
AND WHEREAS this resource can be utilized by communities to plan initiatives, enhance present plans, have input, and provide guidance to community processes and to the Board of Chiefs in their deliberations;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mushkegowuk First nations appoint or designate by whatever means deemed appropriate, one youth and one Elder to form the Mushkegowuk Youth Council and the Mushkegowuk Elders Council;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mushkegowuk Council staff with the Board of Chiefs lobby for the resources to implement this resolution and/or review existing resources to implement same.
