Location of New Hospital

RESOLUTION NO. 1990-147

SUBJECT: LOCATION OF NEW HOSPITAL

WHEREAS a new hospital needs to be constructed within the Mushkegowuk area;

AND WHEREAS Moose Factory Island is the desired location for the construction of new hospital;

WHEREAS a letter of support confirming the location of the new hospital has been received from the Minister of Health and Welfare Canada;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mushkegowuk Council affirms its support for the construction of the new hospital on Moose Factory Island;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT each Mushkegowuk Council Chief and Council ensure that a Band Council Resolution supporting the Moose Factory Island location for the replacement of the hospital is submitted;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT a letter of confirming the Moose Factory Island location be requested from the Premier of Ontario.
