RESOLUTION NO. 1990-151
REPRESENTATION ON FIRST NATIONS' COUNCIL
WHEREAS a First Nations' Council has been created to represent First Nations on a province-wide basis;
AND WHEREAS Chief Edmund Metatawabin of Fort Albany First Nation has been appointed to the First Nations' Council;
AND WHEREAS it is important that Mushkegowuk Council be represented in any negotiations with provincial or other governments;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Mushkegowuk Council endorse and support Chief Edmund Metatawabin in representing Mushkegowuk Council as a sitting member on the First Nations' Council, and that he seek guidance from the Board of Chiefs and the Assembly for that purpose as necessary.
