RESOLUTION NO. 1991-21
WHEREAS this Assembly sees a need to clarify
the line of authority, roles & responsibility and accountability of the Chairperson of the tribal council,
AND WHEREAS the Board of Chiefs and each First Nation should play an active role in developing Terms of Reference for future Chairpersons,
BE IT RESOLVED that this Assembly instructs the Board of Chiefs to develop Terms of Reference for the position of Chairperson,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this assembly instructs the Board of Chiefs to deliver the Terms of Reference to the member communities for their review prior to the date on which notice is given of the meeting for appointment of a Chairperson.
