Treaty No 9 Meeting

RESOLUTION NO. 1992-03

Subject: Treaty No. 9 Meeting

WHEREAS several Treaty No. 9 First Nations are descendants of the signatories of the signing of James Bay Treaty No. 9 in 1905;

AND WHEREAS a number of Chiefs and Band Council members have expressed a desire to meet with each other to discuss land, water and natural resources aspects of their 1905 James Bay Treaty No. 9;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT

Nishnawbe-Aski Nation be requested to fund this meeting in which Mushkegowuk Council shall organize and co-ordinate such a meeting before December 31, 1992 at a location to be determined later.
