RESOLUTION NO. 1993-13
Subject: Omushkeaowuk Regional Health Board
WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council seeks to improve the provision of health care services and programs to the people of the Mushkegowuk First Nations;
AND WHEREAS to this end Mushkegowuk Chiefs initiated the self government process known as "Partners in Change" in June 1989;
AND WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council continues to support the unification and administrative adoption of health care services and programs by a regionally controlled health authority;
AND WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council recognizes the need to ensure that the communities serviced by Moose Factory General Hospital fully participate in this process;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Assembly endorses the establishment of the omushkegowuk Regional Health Board as a vital step in the achievement of these stated objectives.
