RESOLUTION NO. 1994-03-06
Fort Albany Health Delivery
WHEREAS, the Fort Albany First Nation Council passed a resolution in June 1993 to form a Local Health Authority to oversee the satisfactory and understandable health care needs of the membership;
WHEREAS, the Local Health Authority has been formed to begin producing a plan whereby health programs and services could be transferred from the James Bay General Hospital Board to the Local Health Authority;
WHEREAS, the Fort Albany First Nation Council and the Local Health Authority are adamant in keeping lines of communication open between the community and representatives from the Ministry of Health to maintain the transfer initiative.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Council Assembly supports the process initiated by the Fort Albany First Nation Council in the area of health delivery.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Council Assembly supports the Fort Albany Local Health Authority in the health transfer process.
