RESOLUTION NO. 1994-03-09
Dispensing of Prescription Drugs
WHEREAS the membership of the Mushkegowuk communities have experienced difficulties in understanding the purpose of and the procedures for using drugs they have been prescribed; and
WHEREAS it is incumbent on the Moose Factory General Hospital and the James Bay General Hospital when they are dispensing drugs to ensure that all individuals completely understand the type and purpose of drugs they have been prescribed, how frequently it is to be taken and any precautions that must be observed;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Moose Factory General Hospital and the James Bay General Hospital put in place plans to ensure that Mushkegowuk community members are provided with the above information when being prescribed medication.
