WHEREAS the provincial government has distributed a document referred to as Turning Point which outlines comprehensive reform of social assistance programs,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Mushkegowuk Assembly demands that the Mushkegowuk communities be fully informed about present plans to reform social assistance programs,
AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk First Nations assert the need for the local communities to be consulted with and to play the lead role in re-designing social assistance within the region based on local economic realities and Cree culture and traditions.
