RESOLUTION NO. 1994-10-08
WHEREAS the Weeneebayko Health Ahtuskaywin was established in order to pursue the objectives of the Mushkegowuk Chief's "Partners in Change" initiative; and
WHEREAS the Weeneebayko Health Ahtuskaywin has begun the process of transfer of federal hospital programs and services and planning for the replacement of Moose Factory General Hospital; and
WHEREAS the Weeneebayko Health Ahtuskaywin supports the efforts of communities in the Mushkegowuk Territory, interested in taking control of their own local health services, through a process of transfer from the federal and provincial governments;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Mushkegowuk Assembly endorses the approach taken by the Weeneebayko Health Ahtuskaywin in working towards a unified First Nations controlled health care system in the Mushkegowuk Territory
