1st Annual Mushkegowuk Aboriginal Business Summit

RESOLUTION NO. 1994-10-13

SUBJECT: 1ST ANNUAL MUSHKEGOWUK ABORIGINAL BUSINESS SUMMIT

WHEREAS the Aboriginal Business Community recognizes the necessity of its contribution to the process of achieving an economically self­reliant society in the Mushkegowuk territory;

AND WHEREAS in the transfer of the socio-economic development program services from DIA to the Tribal Council its is important to have Aboriginal business community input into the Economic strategy for the Mushkegowuk territory;

AND WHEREAS the Economic Summit hosted by Mushkegowuk Council has had relatively little input from the business community;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Council, through its appropriate Boards, seek funding in order to host a first annual Mushkegowuk Aboriginal Business Summit.
