Inclusion of Women Youth and Elders in Mushkegowuk Decision Making

SUBJECT: INCLUSION OF WOMEN, YOUTH AND ELDERS IN MUSHKEGOWUK DECISION­MAKING

WHEREAS the women, youth and elders of the Mushkegowuk territory all have a special contribution to make to the decisions of Mushkegowuk Council;

WHEREAS women, youth and elders are all guaranteed a voice at Mushkegowuk Council annual assemblies, but may not be included in other Mushkegowuk decision­making;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the importance of the voice of women, youth and elders in Mushkegowuk Council decision-making is hereby reaffirmed;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the staff and Board of Chiefs of Mushkegowuk council work towards including women, youth and elders in Mushkegowuk decision-making.
