RESOLUTION NO. 1995-10-03
SUBJECT: CHAPLEAU CREE FIRST NATION & MISSANABIE CREE FIRST NATION MEMBERSHIP INTO MUSHKEGOWUK COUNCIL
WHEREAS the people of the Missanabie Cree and Chapleau Cree are recognized First Nations and descendants to the signatories of James Bay Treaty #9;
WHEREAS the people of the Missanabie Cree First Nation and Chapleau Cree are blood brothers and sisters to the Mushkegowuk people;
WHEREAS the Missanabie Cree and Chapleau Cree have met the requirements in demonstrating their people's desire to align themselves with the Mushkegowuk Council by Band Council Resolution;
WHEREAS it is the vision of this Assembly that the acceptance of these two First Nations would welcome the return of these people to where they rightfully belong;
WHEREAS the acceptance of the Missanabie Cree and the Chapleau Cree will strengthen the political voice of the Mushkegowuk Council in advancing the cause of the people:
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the 10th Annual Assembly of the Mushkegowuk Council accept and recognize Missanabie Cree First Nation and Chapleau Cree First Nation as full participating members of the Mushkegowuk

Council with all its rights and privileges in accordance with the Mushkegowuk Council constitution.
