RESOLUTION NO. 1995-10-09
SUBJECT: A STUDY ON AN ALL SEASON ROAD FROM MOOSONEE TO ATTAWAPISKAT
WHEREAS the government has moved to implement the Highway Traffic Act in the Mushkegowuk territory;
WHEREAS it is incumbent upon the Provincial Government to provide the necessary funding for the development and maintenance of roads as the said Act is being implemented;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Assembly endorses a study to be undertaken by the Mushkegowuk Council to examine the development and construction of a permanent all season road to link the communities of Moosonee, Albany, Kashechewan and Attawapiskat;
FURTHER THAT the Mushkegowuk Council lobby the provincial government to provide the necessary funding to undertake the said study.
