Moose Cree Traditional Territory

RESOLUTION NO. 1995-10-10

SUBJECT: MOOSE CREE TRADITIONAL TERRITORY

WHEREAS the traditional territories of the Moose Cree First Nation are being encroached upon by non-natives and by non­Treaty Nine First Nation members;

WHEREAS these encroachments adversely affect the rights of the member First Nation to practise their traditional harvests as recognized by law;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Council supports the efforts of the Moose Cree First Nation in its efforts to protect, for its people, their traditional territories to engage in traditional practises.
