Equal Access and Fair Share

RESOLUTION NO. 1995-10-24

SUBJECT: EQUAL ACCESS AND FAIR SHARE

WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council established various regional bodies to service the best interests of the Mushkegowuk people;

WHEREAS the basic premise in establishing these bodies is to provide equal opportunity and a fair share of services between all affiliated First Nations;

WHEREAS the Self-Employment Assistance Program (SEA) of Pasico Regional Development Corporation indicates an inequitable distribution of program participants from the communities and community business development activities;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Assembly instructs all of its corporate and non-corporate governing bodies to review its activities, past and present, with the intent of realigning future activities to reflect the principle of fair share and equal opportunity to all affiliated First Nations of the Council.
