RESOLUTION NO. 1995-10-31
SUBJECT: SUPPORT FOR FIRST NATION BUSINESS INITIATIVES
WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk communities are all suffering economic hard times resulting from limited funding provided by the federal and provincial governments;
WHEREAS the First Nations wish to see more employment and training opportunities in their respective communities that can be provided by the business community;
WHEREAS the First Nations recognize the efforts of the business community to contribute to the creation of an economic base in our region;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that all aboriginal organizations sanctioned by the Chief and Councils to provide services to the First Nation people in the Mushkegowuk area, make every effort to support local and regional native economic initiatives.
