RESOLUTION NO. 1995-10-36

SUBJECT: STRATEGIC PLANNING

WHEREAS during the week of October 2-6, 1995 the Chiefs, First Nation Community members and Mushkegowuk Staff participated in a workshop to develop a Mushkegowuk Council Preliminary Strategic Plan (MCPSP);

WHEREAS this MCPSP has been presented at the 10th Annual Mushkegowuk Council General Assembly;

WHEREAS this preliminary work done on strategic planning for the Mushkegowuk Council and territory is considered necessary and worthwhile to determine our vision, goals and plans for the future;

WHEREAS there is a need to include members at the community level in this strategic planning process;

WHEREAS funding for a Regional Mushkegowuk Council Strategic Plan is being sought through Trillium Foundation;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Council Preliminary Strategic Plan be adopted in principle.;

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Mushkegowuk Council begin a community based process for developing a Regional Mushkegowuk Council Strategic Plan

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the RMCSP be completed by September 1996.
