RESOLUTION NO. 1997-08-24
SUBJECT: H E L I C O P T E R TRANSPORTATION FOR WEENEEBAYKO HEALTH AHTUSKAYWIN
WHEREAS Weeneebayko Health Ahtuskaywin requires helicopter transportation and medivac services during the freeze-up and break-up periods for the 1997/98 seasons; and
WHEREAS Weeneebayko Health Ahtuskaywin publicly calls for tenders to provide this service; and
WHEREAS Heli-Cree Aviation has an operating certificate to provide this service; and
WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council Chiefs joint venture with Heli-Cree is pending; and
WHEREAS a Heli-Cree Aviation helicopter to provide these services will be stationed in Moose Factory 12 months of the year,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support the endeavours of Heli-Cree Aviation to extend its Weeneebayko Health Ahtuskaywin Helicopter Transportation contract for 1997/98; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support the efforts of Heli-Cree Aviation to provide on a long term basis on-going helicopter services required by Weeneebayko Health Ahtuskaywin.
