RESOLUTION NO. 2000-08-25

YOUTH RECREATION FACILITY IN CHAPLEAU CREE FIRST NATION

WHEREAS the need for holistic youth programming exists within the Mushkegowuk TeITitory and physical recreational activities do not exist for many youth in Chapleau Cree First Nation; and

WHEREAS the Chapleau Cree First Nation recognizes this need and is seeking support for the establishment of a skate park to provide recreational activities for the youth of the community and to help alleviate the boredom felt by youth and provide an alternative to non­productive and destructive activities;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Mushk:egowuk: Chjefs in Assembly fully support Chapleau Cree First Nation in its initiative to seek funding to construct a skate park.
