Youth Recreation Activities in New Post

RESOLUTION NO. 2000-08-26

YOUTH RECREATION ACTIVITIES IN NEW POST

WHEREAS the need for holistic youth programming exists within the Mushkegowuk Tenitory and physical recreational activities do not exist for youth in New Post First Nation; and

WHEREAS the New Post First Nation recognizes this need and is requesting support for recreation workers and equipment to provide recreational activities for the youth of the community and to help alleviate the boredom felt by youth and provide an alternative to non­productive and destructive activities;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly fully support New Post First Nation in its initiative to seek funding for recreational workers and equipment, and that Mushkegowuk Youth Department staff assist New Post First Nation in developing a funding proposal for this purpose.
