Increasing Participation of Youth Women and Elders at Mushkegowuk Assemblies

RESOLUTION NO. 2000-08-31

INCREASING PARTICIPATION OF YOUTH, WOMEN AND ELDERS AT MUSHKEGOWUK ASSEMBI,IES

WHEREAS, further to Resolution 1992-14 which spoke to the active involvement of women, youth and elders to conh·ibute to the discussions and decisions which future Mushkegowuk Assemblies will be making in the building of our nation; and

WHEREAS adequate time needs to be devoted to issues of the youth, women and elders at Mushkegowuk Assemblies;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support the establishment of Assembly Councils for youth, women and elders at future Assemblies to facilitate discussion and forums to bring forth issues and resolutions to the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly.
