RESOLUTION NO. 2001-09-08
WHEREAS there is a high incidence of substance abuse among the youth in Kashechewan leading to increasing rates of crime and social and health problems and;
WHEREAS the Kashechewan First Nation recognizes the healing power of the land, traditional pursuits and programs based on the Mushkegowuk culture and;
WHEREAS Kashechewan First Nation desires to establish such programs to help its youth;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly fully supports Kashechewan in its efforts to secure funding to establish cultmally based programs for its youth.
