RESOLUTION NO. 2001-09-22

CAREERS AWARENESS AND COUNSELI,ING

WHEREAS Mushkegowuk Youth need processes to explore different career options; and

WHEREAS the introduction of career exploration and planning needs to begin at the primary grade levels; and

WHEREAS career assessments, resume-wntmg skills and job preparation skills need to be introduced beginning in grade nine; and

WHEREAS career exploration and counselling helps young people learn the importance of goal-setting and what is required to reach their goals;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly mandate the Omushkego Education to begin the development of career awareness and counselling opportunities that would be implemented in all schools within the Mushkegowuk Ten-itory.
