REGIONAL ECONOMIC

DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

WHEREAS the commwlities in the Mushkegowuk te1Titory wish for their respective communities to progress

WHEREAS developing a

comprehensive community strategic plan will benefit the community to realize their set goals and objectives; and

WHEREAS developing a regional economic development strategy will ensure that the regional development corporations assist the communities in achieving their goals and objectives; and

WHEREAS Wakenagun Community Futures Development Corporation is mandated to provide assistance to the communities in economic analysis and strategic pla1ming;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support Wakenagun Community

Fu:t1res Development Corporation j11 their efforts to coordinate the development of a

regional economic

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support the creation of the employment position of a "Strategic Planning Coordinator" who will oversee the regional economic development strategy project.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support Wakenagun Community Futures Development Corporation's efforts to access funding to implement the regional development strategy project.
