RESOLUTION NO. 2001-09-27

ESTABLISHMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND BUSINESS RESOURCE CENTRES

WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk communities have identified the need to provide employment and business centres at the local level; and

WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Employment Training Services (METS) and Wakenagun Conm1unity Futures Development Corporation have established a working group to create employment and business resource centres in the communities of Fort Albany, Attawapiskat and Kashecbewan; and

WHEREAS the employment and business development resource centres provide direct access to employment and business resources for community members to actively pursue their employment and business initiatives;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support the establishment of employment and business resource cenh·es in the communities of Fort Albany, Attawapiskat and Kashechewan.

FURTHERBEITRESOLVED that the Mushk:egowuk Chiefs in Assembly support the application for funding to establish the employment and business resource centres in Fort Albany, Attawapiskat and Kashechewan.
