RESOLUTION NO. 2001-09-28
NURSING SHORTAGE IN ATTAWAPISKAT
WHEREAS Attawapiskat First Nation is currently experiencing a nursmg shortage; and
WHEREAS James Bay General Hospital is responsible for the provision of nursing personnel in these two communities;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly encourage James Bay General Hospital to continue measures to recruit the nursing positions at full complement;
AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly encourage the Mushkegowuk communities to work to retain Registered Nurses by involving the Registered Nurses in community events.
