RESOLUTION NO. 2002-09-16
MUSHKEGOWUK HEALTH & SOCIAL SERVICES PLANNER
WHEREAS Mushkegowuk Council does not have the necessary financial resources to establish a permanent Health and Social Services Planner position within the Council, and;
WHEREAS Mushkegowuk has been fortunate to access short tem1 funding in the last three years, and;
WHEREAS the communities of the Mushkegowuk First Nations reqmre this service on a consistent basis, and;
WHEREAS Nishnawbe Aski Nation has received funds from the Federal Government on behalf of our Mushkegowuk communities, and;
WHEREAS Nislmawbe Aski Nation has established an extensive Health & Social Services department at their head office in Thunder Bay.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Chiefs and delegates in Assembly direct the Grand Chief to negotiate the transfer of funds equivalent to one staff position including associated operating costs to Mushkegowuk Council on an annual basis.
