Resolution No. 2004-09-23
Mushkegowuk Council Organizational Review
WHEREAS it is in the best interests of the Mushkegowuk member First Nations to have a responsible and effective government at the Tribal Council level; and
WHEREAS Mushkegowuk Council have initiated a strategic planning process to develop an operational plan; and
WHEREAS the draft operational plan requires to be revisited for finalization and approval; and
WHEREAS the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs has also initiated a national Tribal Council Funding Policy review with potential impacts to the organization;
WHEREAS it is recognized and acknowledged that this organizational review process must be community driven with full participation and consultation by the Mushkegowuk First Nations;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs and delegates in Assembly direct the office of the Grand Chief to lobby appropriate government levels to confirm necessary resources required
to develop and implement an Organizational Review that will provide an Operational Plan for Mushkegowuk Council by the 20th Annual Assembly 2005.
