Resolution No. 2004-09-24
Youth General Assemblies
WHEREAS there is a strong interest by the youth of the Mushkegowuk First Nations to gather on a regulŁr basis;
WHEREAS the first annual Youth General Assembly was held on August 15, 2004 in Taykwa Tagamou Nation;
WHEREAS such gatherings are important to the development and wellbeing of Mushkegowuk First Nation youth;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support the continued development of Annual Youth General Assemblies including financial support from the First Nations;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly encourage all Mushkegowuk First Nations to ensure increased participation in future Youth General Assemblies by youth and leadership.
