Resolution No. 2005-09-05
To Provide Financial Contributions to the Meetings of the Mushkegowuk Regional Youth Council (RYC)
WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly have a mandate to support its youth initiatives; and
WHEREAS many First Nations in Mushkegowuk Territory have committed their support to Mushkegowuk Youth and the establishment of a Regional Youth Council; and
WHEREAS the Youth Department works to provide the guidance and support to the Regional Youth Council's growth in leadership training skills; and
WHEREAS the Youth Department continues to seek financial contributions to maintain the growth of Youth Leadership, and is seeking financial commitment from the Mushkegowuk Chiefs while the RYC meeting is held in the host Mushkegowuk Community.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly support the financial contribution of $750.00 by the First Nation for the Regional Youth Council to continue their meetings.
