Youth Department Support to the Annual Regional Youth Gathering
WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Chiefs in Assembly have a mandate to support its youth initiatives; and
WHEREAS many First Nations in Mushkegowuk Territory have committed their support to youth initiatives offered through the Youth Department that enhance and empower Mushkegowuk Youth in youth personal development and youth leadership; and
WHEREAS the Youth Department works to maintain sustainability to continue the delivery of youth programs and services, the request to ensure the Mushkegowuk Chiefs maintain their support to the Mushkegowuk Youth through financial support to the Regional Youth Gatherings on a continuing basis.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk First Nations support the request put forward by the Youth Department to commit financially, $3,000 annually towards the Regional Youth Gathering that is organized by the Youth Department.
