Support for Day Care Program in Kashechewan
WHEREAS there continues to be an increase in the number of students enrolled at the Francine J. Wesley Memorial Secondary School in the community of Kashechewan who require Child Care services to support them in attending to their academic studies; and
WHEREAS these students are currently without such essential services and are experiencing difficulty in accessing reliable babysitter services within the community; and
WHEREAS this has resulted in a high number of these students being unable to continue to pursue their studies thereby interrupting their academic progress.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Chiefs in Assembly direct Omushkego Education to assist Hishkoonikun Education Authority to investigate with the Province's Community and Social Services the options of establishing a Day Care Program for the community of Kashechewan.
