Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC)

WHEREAS the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC) provides essential services in the movement of passengers, fuel and supplies to the residents of the James Bay coast; and

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Assembly supports the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission in its endeavour to improve the services to the residents of the James Bay coast; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Assembly strongly urges that the province increase the subsidy for the operation of the "non-commercial" train services on the James Bay coast to a satisfactory level.
