Resolution No. 2006-09-08
Mushkegowuk Decentralization
WHEREAS it is the desire and intent of Mushkegowuk Council to enhance the working relationship including communication services amongst its member First Nation communities; and
WHEREAS this will require a process of decentralization of Mushkegowuk Council to establish satellite offices throughout the region in the provision of services as First Nation governance and administration, youth, education, health, social, community and capital planning including other specific projects.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Assembly mandates the Grand Chief and the executive to undertake the necessary costing and implementation of a three year strategy plan toward the decentralization of Mushkegowuk Council in the establishment of satellite offices in consultation with member First Nation communities.
