Resolution No. 2006-09-15
Financial and Administration Assessment
WHEREAS it has been the experience of the member First Nation communities to seek external resources for professional support in financial management and administration; and
WHEREAS it is in the best interests of the member First Nation communities to participate in a regional initiative that would research, review and assess the current status of local financial and payroll management, procedures and accounting software, human resource development, group benefit management, including training and development; and
WHEREAS this initiative shall result in a report for each participating member First Nation community with appropriate recommendations as to the enhancement of financial and administrative services for the purpose of effective and efficient operation of local First Nation government.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Assembly mandates the Grand Chief and the executive to identify required funding to undertake a regional assessment of member First Nation communities current financial and administration management of resources to assist each participant through appropriate recommendations toward increasing effective and efficient operation of local First Nation government.
