WHEREAS Mushkegowuk Council by Resolution No. 2006-09-31 supported the creation of a Mushkegowuk women's association to speak on issues affecting our Nation; and
WHEREAS it is imperative that the women of Mushkegowuk Council community have a women's representative to speak on their behalf at Assemblies.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Council carry out a process to select a women's representative who shall be drawn from the member First Nations Women's Groups in keeping with the intent of Resolution No. 2007-09-35 well before the next Assembly; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Grand Chief and the Executive be mandated to seek the necessary funds to establish a Mushkegowuk lnninu Eskwewak.
