Resolution No. 2009-08-20
Mushkegowuk lnninu Eskwewak (Women's Conference)
WHEREAS Mushkegowuk Council by Resolution No. 2008-11-22 was to carry out a process to select a women's representative and that the necessary funds were to be sought to establish a Mushkegowuk lnninu Eskwewak (Women's) conference; and
WHEREAS the implementation of Mushkegowuk Council Resolution No. 2008-11-22 was temporarily delayed due to financial complications related to Mushkegowuk Council's temporary deficit;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Chiefs and delegates in Assembly reaffirm the intent of Resolution No. 2008-11-22; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Deputy Grand Chief be mandated to hold a conference call with women representatives from the member First Nations Women's Groups to discuss the terms of reference, funding, and other issues related to a Mushkegowuk lnninu Eskwewak.
