Enforcement of Laws on Illegal Drugs and Alcohol
WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk First Nations continue to experience the tragic effects on youth and families of the use of illegal drugs and alcohol in our communities;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this 26th Mamowihitowin of the Mushkegowuk Council express appreciation to the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Services for their continuing efforts to reduce the use of illegal drugs and alcohol in our communities, such as through the increased use of search warrants and witness informants, and urge NAPS to continue to seek improved effectiveness in the enforcement of drug and alcohol laws in our communities, to reduce the tragic consequences of drugs and alcohol on our youth and families.
