Terms of Reference for Omushkego Education Board of Directors
WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk Council of Chiefs approved the Omushkego Education Board of Directors Terms of Reference on June 13, 2001; and
WHEREAS the Omushkego Education Board of Directors amended the said Terms of Reference dated February 28 & 29, 2012 to further strengthen and enhance its role in advocating for educational programs and services within the region; and
WHEREAS the Council of Mushkegowuk Chiefs and Education Directors reviewed the September 2010 revisions and made further amendments in consultation with the Omushkego Education Board of Directors;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Council of Chiefs and Education Directors amendments appear to support the Omushkego Education Board's roles and responsibilities in meeting needs of and providing services for the education of students in the Mushkegowuk region; and
BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED that the Mushkegowuk Council of Chiefs and delegates in assembly approve the Omushkego Education Board's Terms of Reference as recommended February 2012 so as to further enable Omushkego Education in its role of advocacy for advancement of, and progress of the Omushkego of our First Nation Communities.
