Development of the Mushkegowuk Information Services Department

WHEREAS the management and protection of information, data and knowledge are critical to the establishment of good governance; and

WHEREAS, data and information are some of an organization's greatest assets; and

WHEREAS, the security and protection of data and information is essential to the integrity and confidence in an organization or government; and

WHEREAS, the Government of the First Nations and the Mushkegowuk Council recognize the need to secure their Traditional Knowledge, other data and business information;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Mamowihitowin of the Omushkegowuk fully supports the creation of an Information Services Department at Mushkegowuk Council.
