Development of a Financial Administration Law

WHEREAS the Annual Mamowihitowin recognises the importance of financially stable communities and consequently institutionalising financial management best practices therein;

WHEREAS to further enable our communities access capital funds for infrastructure and other development projects required to improve the well­being of our people and;

WHEREAS in order to build trust and confidence in our financial management systems and practices;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that

the Chiefs and_ delegates of thiŁ Mamowihitowin support the exploration of the development of Mushkegowuk Council Finance Law and provide a report at the winter assembly.

THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER

RESOLVED that the rationale for such a law be presented at the Winter Assembly.
