Kunuwanimano Invited to Present at Every Mushkegowuk AGA

WHEREAS Mushkegowuk Chiefs at their AGA and Special Assemblies require reports on the work of their Corporations and that of their Service Providers; and

WHEREAS some of the Mushkegowuk Chiefs namely Taykwa Tagamou Nation, Missanabie Cree First Nation and Chapleau Cree First Nation under the Mushkegowuk Council are serviced through Kunuwanimano Child and Family Services; and

WHEREAS Kunuwanimano Child and Family Services has jurisdiction on Child Welfare matters in the Timmins and surrounding area; and

WHEREAS there is a high population of Mushkegowuk members in the Timmins and surrounding areas; and

WHEREAS children and families through out the Mushkegowuk First Nation communities are serviced by Kunuwanimano Child and Family Services and are accountable to their care and service; and

WHEREAS the Mushkegowuk AGA may share in the value of the work being done by Kunuwanimano

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Kunuwanimano Child and Family Services be invited by the Mushkegowuk Executive to report at every Mushkegowuk AGA and where necessary at Special Assemblies on the work of the Agency.
