First Nation Employment Assisted Services

WHEREAS over the many years since the Omushkegowuk established their regional service organizations, the Mushkegowuk First Nations continue to experience community growth and development in all sectors of their community services and governance systems; and

WHEREAS along with community growth and development, the demand for quality services on a daily basis increases in our communities; and

WHEREAS the communities have demonstrated the need to local, on demand Employment and Training services;

WHEREAS this motion is without prejudice to those First Nations running their own Employment and Training programs;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that to

improve the level of services, this Mamowihitowin of the Omushkegowuk directs the Mushkegowuk Employment and Training Services department (METs) to establish local community Employment service advisors to support community members.
